Job summary
Are you outgoing, hard working, self motivated and ambitious with an interest with helping people in the criminal justice system? If so, we have the perfect job for you!
The Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Service provides support to those going through the criminal justice system and advice to the Police, Probation, Magistrates' and Crown Courts and is looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join it's award winning team.
Main duties of the job
You'll use your experience to provide highly specialist Speech & Language Therapy assessment and diagnosis in order to inform the police, probation and court services as required by the National PCLDS Operating model. The post holder will provide this specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service to adults and youths over the age of 10 years. Individuals referred for assessment may have speech, language and communication needs resulting from a range of developmental and health conditions which may not have been formally diagnosed.
About us
The post is 3 days (22.5 hours) a week and is for a fixed period until 31 March 2025, therefore we are offering a fixed term contract or a secondment. We will also consider offering the job as a band 6 if you are not looking for a band 7 role.
We provide the service to the whole of Dorset so some travel across the county will be necessary, however we will try to match your base with your home location.
The Service has recently been recognised by the CQC as a 'highly skilled and tight knit team' and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in applying. The criminal justice system may be new to you and we recommend that you contact us to discuss the role before applying.
