Job summary
The Dorset All Age Eating Disorders Service (DAEDS) are seeking to recruit a Team Administrator to join the Over 18's Inpatient and Day Programme arms of the service.
You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working. You will have good communication skills, an excellent telephone manner, attention to detail, the ability to cope with complex tasks using a database and previous experience of working in a NHS setting office environment. You must be able to work accurately under pressure, whilst remaining calm and courteous and be able to work well as part of a team.
This post is part time of 22.5 hours Monday to Friday 9 to 5. You will be based at Kimmeridge Court, St Ann's Hospital, Poole, occasional visits to other sites will be required as part of a small administrative team supporting the service pan-Dorset.
Main duties of the job
Maintain records including computerised systems, databases and spreadsheets required by the Dorset All Age Eating Disorders team.
Collate statistics, as and when requested by the DAEDS Manager
Organise and prioritise own routine and non-routine daily workload. To have input into developing, organising and implementing new office procedures and systems e.g. developing/updating databases, procedures for processing referrals and general day to
You will share reception duties, using sound communication skills, sometimes being required to respond calmly to challenging or aggressive communication from patients. To provide non-clinical advice to patients based on awareness, knowledge and skills acquired in the course of everyday work in the department.
