Job summary

This role has a heavy focus on Electronic Patient Record systems and clinical applications but other applications are also covered.

We are looking for an individual with great service delivery skills, a positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of how to get the best out of digital applications.

The team provides support and configuration on our electric patient record applications and other healthcare systems. A real understanding of digital applications is required but we will provide training on individual systems as required.

Based at Sentinel House in Poole, after training we offer a hybrid model of working to allow flexibility in where you work where possible. It's a busy, positive, and supportive department with a real desire to provide great service delivery.

The post is full-time at 37.5 hours, but we are open to looking at part-time roles to meet this.

Main duties of the job

Supporting the trusts clinicians and support staff in the use of its patient record and clinical systems by being responsible for the effective technical configuration, implementation and testing of these systems. Act as 2nd line support for the Applications Service Desk, managing technical issues and requests through the full lifecycle to resolution.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Excellent IT Skills and understanding of information systems set-up, configuration, data entry and interrogation
  • Excellent problem resolution and fault investigation skills
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) qualification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience of dealing with confidential information

Desirable

  • Knowledge of one or more healthcare computer systems, ideally SystmOne or RiO, acquired through diploma or equivalent experience
