Job summary
An exciting opportunities have arisen to come and work within the District Nursing Team at Highcliffe Medical Centre as a team administrator.
The team administrator is the face of the team, often being a patients first point of contact with the service. As a result we are looking for the successful candidate(s) to be friendly, professional and able to work under pressure. Previous experience of using SystmOne is beneficial but not essential.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Main duties of the job
To assist the team by providing clinical and administrative support services.
To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative support including dealing with telephone enquiries, relatives, carers, GPs, Social Workers and other agencies, maintaining good communications between staff members of the Trust and outside representatives using own initiative and managing own workload.
To provide a friendly, safe and efficient administrative and office systems service to support the delivery of excellent patient care.
To ensure that patients and contacts with the service are dealt with in a friendly, empathetic and professional manner and to help ensure that the patient's experience is positive.
To deal with confidential, contentious and urgent material proactively in a sensitive and appropriate manner, exercising analytical skills and sound judgement.
Work as part of an efficient and professional team.
To work systematically and develop communication networks that contributes effectively to the service provided.
