Job summary
We are excited to be recruiting for a motivated Integration Engineer to work as a Lead Developer within the Applications Development and Support Team at Dorset Healthcare.
You will be key in the design, development and maintenance of our Integration Engine at Dorset Healthcare as well as systems across the county.
If you have a good understanding of Integration engines (e.g. Mirth or Rhapsody) and would like to progress into a lead role or are an experienced software developer and are interested in expanding into an integration role then we'd like to hear from you.
In this influential role you will be able to make a difference; leading on projects to develop solutions that support our patient services and management, providing training and support to the team as well as working closely with internal staff and suppliers.
This post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, hybrid-working - a mixture of both home and office working will be required depending on the projects on at the time.
We are also able to offer this as a developmental role from band 5 to band 6 with support and training.
This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
Main duties of the job
The primary responsibilities of the role are:
- Research and requirements gathering for specific interfaces, including wire-framing/prototyping solutions
- Develop technical and business process documentation for interfaces.
- Configure and quality assure newly developed interfaces.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and enhance existing interfaces.
- Collaborate with third-parties to test and implement hot fixes as well as projects
- Support team members and participate in process/team improvement
