Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Change and Release Management team within the IM&T department at Dorset HealthCare. We are a central function that works with all digital teams in IM&T.

This role will provide administrative support to the Change and Release function and carry out administration activities on the change system and maintain change and release documentation.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Monitor the Change Management system to ensure new change requests have been processed and all notifications and updates actioned.
  • Escalate any issues identified to the Change and Release team in a timely manner.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks and publish the weekly change management reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the weekly Change Advisory Board meetings and Emergency Change Advisory Board meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for all Change and Release team meetings and update associated documentation including minutes, action logs and contact lists.
  • Maintain and update system documentation and operational procedures with direction and guidance.
  • Proactively communicate with users about change requests and ensure that any issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Engage with all staff across IM&T including lead system specialists, developers, IT engineers, system specialists, clinical leads, training etc. with regards to change and release.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of administrative support workflow, policies and procedures to diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of IT change management in an organisation or service.
  • Demonstrable experience of proving administrative support in meetings and maintaining associated documentation.
  • Demonstrable experience of recording keeping and data entry on IT systems.

Knowledge, skills, and training

  • Good level of education, ideally 5 GCSEs grade A-C including Maths and English
  • Excellent IT Skills and understanding of information systems.
