Job summary

The Poole CAMHS team are looking for a Family Practitioner to join their supportive multi-disciplinary team.

As a Family Practitioner you will provide practical help and support and guidance to children, young people and their families who are receiving treatment in CAMHS. You will assist in the identification of those families who would benefit from receiving support and promote the importance and relevance of the parenting care pathway to families whose child/children display emotionally disrupted behaviours where parenting support would be the key intervention, resulting in promoting their recovery in their community environment.

The Family Practitioner role is a part time 12 months fixed term, covering maternity leave of 27.3 hours. You must hold a full current UK Driving Licence and discussions around working hours and days can be negotiated.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

We welcome informal visits and any questions about the role please contact Julie Atkin at j.atkin@nhs.net or on 01202 584600
