An opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to take on the role of Service Manager for the Liaison Psychiatry and Crisis Service within Dorset CAMHS.
CAMHS Liaison has recently undergone a review and the service is still developing, we have recently developed a Crisis and Brief Intervention offer within CAMHS Dorset which will be part of your portfolio. This will be an opportunity to lead and be part of the continuing development of a new Service, which will offer therapeutic assessments and brief intervention to young people across Dorset.You will be responsible for a team of practitioners led by a Team Leader. The team will consist of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Lead, Mental Health Practitioners, Support Workers and administrative support.
Your role in liaison will be a strategic one, building strong relationships with the acute hospital senior leaders and the staff working in ED, paediatrics, the assessment unit, being the bridge between Dorset HealthCare and our acute partners. You will be part of the CAMHS Senior Management Team and will work in collaboration with the Inpatient Services Manager and Closer to Home Team Manager to develop pathways for the Acute needs of Young People in Dorset.
This post is a full time 12-month fixed term, to cover maternity leave. Opportunities to discuss a blended model of remote and office working are welcomed.

Main duties of the job
You will ensure the provision and development of high standards of care and therapeutic treatment of care are undertaken.
As a Service manager you will support the implementation of nationally accredited standards relating to mental health and to embrace and develop the development of the Recovery agenda.
You will facilitate and promote a culture of learning and development, be part of the senior leadership team at an exciting point of transformation and work closely with the Head ofCAMHS and Service Managers in meeting recommendations of the NHS Long Term Plan.
You will deliver on performance targets and quality outcomes in order to transform the service, improving access to and choice of evidence-based therapies and building capacity to deliver positive and measurable outcomes for children and young people and their families.
This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
