Job summary

The Applications Development and Support team works as part of the wider IM&T team here at Dorset Healthcare. Its a supportive, flexible team and with a new Digital leadership its an exciting time!

We are looking for a positive, motivated individual to join us for 18 months to improve Applications Access processes, mainly around our Electronic Health Records which includes Registration Authority.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the creation and documentation of the processes and standards for access to applications (including EHRs and Registration Authority) within the trust.

Provide support, information, and training regarding access processes including Registration Authority

Lead on all access improvement projects within the department

Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to other staff in the department regarding the area of expertise

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Excellent problem resolution and fault investigation skills
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) qualification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience of dealing with confidential information
  • Excellent IT Skills and understanding of information systems set-up, data entry and interrogation

JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Previous experience in an equivalent industry of 2 years or more
  • Experience holding a customer service role and/or IT support position of 2 years or more
  • Experience of Registration Authority
  • Ability to provide a customer-focused, service-based approach to working with stakeholders
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to cope with uncertainty
  • Willing to engage with and learn from peers, other professionals, and colleagues in the desire to provide or support the most appropriate interventions
