Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join the Home Treatment team

The Home Treatment Team is a community team that works closely with the community mental health teams and the inpatient units to provide a period of intervention to a range of clients experiencing acute mental health difficulties in an attempt to avoid the need for hospital admission or to reduce the length of stay.

We are looking for a registered Mental health Nurse , Occupational Therapist or Social worker to join our well established team in meeting the needs of our service users. If you have one of these qualifications and have experience of working with people suffering with mental ill health whether this be inpatient or community based we would welcome an application.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a reliable, committed and motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise.

The role involves working within the multidisciplinary team liaising with other agencies and services to provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for adults presenting with acute mental health crisis

You will receive supervision, support and training to develop skills within this post

  • Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by post registration diploma level specialist training and/or short courses or demonstrable extensive experience in the relevant specialty
  • Membership of the relevant Professional Body

  • Basic IT keyboard skills, normally obtained through practice or practical training
