Job summary
Are you a newly qualified or experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to join a supportive and dynamic team? We have an opening within our Dorset Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy service team, covering Blandford and North Dorset areas.
As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be working alongside an integrated, multi-disciplinary team including occupational therapists, physio therapists, social care and nurses, as well as being supported by Band 6 & 7 therapists.
In return we offer CPD opportunities, regular supervision, peer supervision with another Band 5. We welcome ideas of change that could contribute to creating a better service for people living with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
The Speech and Language Therapist role is a full time (37.5 hours) permanent post. We would be flexible with how the hours are met and consider condensed hours, as long as the services needs are met. We embrace flexible working, and we support a hybrid model of working from home as well as the office.

Main duties of the job
The service sees patients in their own home, video call appointments, in clinics and in Community Hospital settings. As a member of the Team you will be expected to work collaboratively with the other team members to manage the locality caseload as needed.
