Job summary
Are you a compassionate individual looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Willows Ward, Yeatman Hospital, Sherbourne are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our experienced team.As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team in a stroke / neuro ward for the local and wider community. Recently there has been significant investment to develop Dorset stroke services including development with our stroke rehabilitation beds based on Rowan team within The Willows.
In addition, we achieved a nationally recognised accreditation in the Gold Standard Framework award for end-of-life care to become the first-ever 'Hospital Ward of the Year' for end-of-life care.
We offer a structured induction programme and further career development opportunities after a year of service to explore enrolling on the Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship for those who would wish to. We have flexible family-friendly working patterns, pastoral support and the chance to be part of a supportive, high performing team of healthcare professionals.
The Health Care Assistant post is a full-time role, we would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 15 hours. Flexible shifts listed below.
Early - 07.30 - 15.30
Late - 12.30 - 20.30
Long Day - 07.30 - 20.30
Nights - 20.15 - 07.45
Weekend and public holidays at enhanced pay!

To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.
Assist registered nursing staff in providing high quality individualised nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers. Work with a multi-disciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge and participate in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients
