Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 8a Systemic Family Therapist to join the newly formed Under 18 Eating Disorder Day Service located at Wareham Community Hospital. During the pilot period of 2 years, demonstrating proof of concept for the proposed model of multi-family group therapy reinforced by support in the home to embed the learning.
The successful applicant will have current experience of delivering family interventions with young people and their families who are experiencing an eating disorder.
You will work closely with the management team to develop, implement and evaluate specialist programmes of care, and identify and implement changes to clinical practice ensuring the delivery of up-to-date evidence-based practice.
Car driver essential subject to the provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Which the Trust will cover the cost of. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Main duties of the job
To be an integral part of the Under 18 Day Service
To provide systemic family therapy assessment and interventions for patients with an eating disorder and their family.
The service is currently offering family based therapy individually and modular multi-family, the successful candidate will deliver both.
To provide family therapy advice and supervision to colleagues
