Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Dorset HealthCare University NHSFoundation Trust for a Research Support Co-ordinator to be a part of the Trust's R&D team. The Trust's R&D function is growing, and we are looking for an individual to contribute to this growth.
The post-holder will be required to work closely with the Research Support Manager to support the set-up of clinical research projects, assisting and liaising with other research project staff as appropriate.
The main focus of the role will be in supporting the Research Support Manager in all tasks relating to clinical research and providing specialist knowledge of governance arrangements around research studies, portfolio and non-portfolio and to communicate this clearly.
Main duties of the job
Ensure a consistent approach to local study documentation taking account of regulations and external requirements e.g., Trial Master Files.
Set up and maintain systems for the regular collection of data on Portfolio study recruitment figures and provide reports on recruitment information for use by the R&D team and external partners.
To provide an effective and efficient administrative service to the R&D team to be able to provide a patient focused service in Dorset.
Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the R&D office.
Act as the first point of contact for internal Trust staff and external agencies using Shelley Road during usual working hours and escalate enquiries / requests for support to appropriate team members.
To organise meetings, booking venues, refreshment and speakers as necessary. To prepare agendas for meetings, collate and distribute papers and take and distribute notes and minutes as needed.
To provide specialist knowledge of governance arrangements around research studies, portfolio and non-portfolio and to communicate this clearly.
