You will be welcomed by a friendly , highly specialised Team who look after each other and who are motivated and determined to improve the outcomes of women and their families during the Perinatal period . We are proud to work alongside Peer Specialists and aim to put coproduction at the heart of what we do .

We have expanded to meet the LTP ambitions for Perinatal MH services now offering a fully integrated Maternal Mental Health Service where this post will be based but will also be part of the wider team.

You will have access to excellent supervision and training working alongside Psychologists and Specialist midwives. The team is led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist .We have excellent staff retention, one of the highest rates in the country , so get in touch . Main duties of the job

To provide specialist psychological therapy and counselling to women who have been bereaved through baby loss, and have developed moderate, complex or severe mental health issues in connection with their loss, as part of the Dorset Maternal Mental Health service.

To provide a comprehensive therapeutic service for women and birthing persons who have developed moderate, complex or severe mental health issues in connection with the loss of their baby, either through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss or IVF failure.

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology OR a recognised Diploma/Degree in Counselling, or a recognised Post-Graduate level training in a relevant therapeutic modality.
  • Accreditation with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), BPS (British Psychological Society), BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) or an equivalent governing body.
