Job summary
Dorset HealthCare is offering an exciting opportunity to become a Bank PMVA tutor working in the PMVA team, within the Learning and Development Service.
A 3 week General Services Association (GSA) Tutor course will take place from 25th September to 15thof October 2023. The course will be delivered by Senior GSA Tutor Ramiro Da Silva.
The candidates must have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Mental Health and are reliable, have initiative, good organisational skills, good level of fitness, able to work face to face and an excellent team player, to support the delivery of high-quality training for our workforce and outside agencies i.e. General Hospitals, care providers and University students.
The tutor role will positively support, influence and increase competence and confidence of staff and aim to reduce the use of Restrictive Interventions and provide a safe environment for all.

Main duties of the job

If you hold a permanent post on a ward, you will need the permission of your line manager.
Successful applicants will have to do a 10 minute presentation on any aspect of their choice relating to the Prevention and Management of Violence & Aggression at interview.
The post holder will need to travel across Dorset to deliver this training face to face.
