Job summary
We are seeking a Car Park Attendant at St Ann's Hospital, Poole, Dorset to join us on a fixed term contract from until 30 September 2023.
This can be a challenging and demanding post which requires a confident, approachable person who can work under pressure whilst remaining polite and courteous at all times. You will need to be customer focused and able to communicate with staff, patients, visitors and members of the public at all levels.
Main duties of the job
The main duty will be to check those coming onto site, on foot or in vehicles, have an authorised purpose and to help direct visitors.
Applicants will need to be physically fit and able to spend significantly long periods of time on foot and walking around, in all weather conditions.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

Knowledge, skills and training
Essential
- NVQ2 or similar in Maths and English.
- Experience of working alone and with minimum supervision whilst undertaking duties
- Experience of car parking and traffic management duties.
- Knowledge of general parking practices and procedures.
Desirable
- SIA Guarding Licence, an advantage
- Experience of working in a car parking/security team within a healthcare environment.
Communication and relationship skills
