Do you want to work in a beautiful coastal town close to 7 miles of sandy beaches and the New Forest national park on the doorstep? Bournemouth has great transport links, including rail, coach, and close links to the M3 ,lead to London and the south coast in under two hours.
Due to expansion we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified CBT therapist to join our fantastic team in Bournemouth!
We are looking for CBT therapists with energy, enthusiasm, and a high level of clinical skill to join Bournemouth & Christchurch Steps to Wellbeing. All staff will work as part of a team, and receive regular clinical supervision.
Experience of working within the NHS or similar organisation is highly desirable.
Steps 2 Wellbeing is part of the national IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) talking therapies service. The Bournemouth & Christchurch team prides itself on providing quality therapy for the community we serve.
We also have an excellent continuing professional development programme which is included as part of your role.
Bournemouth & Christchurch provide an integrated service offering interventions in both CORE CBT and long term health conditions. There will be opportunities for all staff to complete their Long-Term Health Conditions training.
Main duties of the job
Qualified candidates holding full BABCP accreditation will be appointed at Band 7. Qualified candidates who do not yet hold BABCP accreditation, but who are working towards it, can be appointed at Band 6 ['Preceptee Therapist']; and these roles have a reduced and triaged caseload, and will receive additional support. Decisions about which role candidates holding Provisional BABCP accreditation would be more suited to, will be made depending on experience.
Good administrative, time management and communication skills are also essential.
The Steps 2 Wellbeing service prides itself on being innovative and is passionate about development. We promote opportunities for career development and on-going professional development including training in Long Term Health Conditions and other modalities of treatment such as EMDR, and Mindfulness.
Successful candidates will provide both one to one and group high intensity CBT within a stepped care model for adults with common mental health problems, including depression and a range of anxiety disorders.
We currently provide hybrid working of both face to face and some remote work.

We aim to offer a wide range of clinical times to our clients, and to support this all staff are required to work one evening per week to 8pm (Monday-Thursday).
