Band 5 Staff NurseLocation: G1, Frimley Park Hospital

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the G1 Ward team within ourcancer and chemotherapy services and general medicine. This is a fantastic chance to gain experience in a specialist haematology and medicine setting, with support to develop your skills and confidence in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and effective care to patients receiving intensive chemotherapy

Support coordination of the daily patient list and assist with workload allocation

Administer chemotherapy safely and in line with best practice guidelines (training will be provided where needed)

Triage and assess patients using the UKONS system

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient care with minimal supervision.

To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that treatments are correctly carried out in accordance with given policy.

Responsible for the assessment of complex care needs of chemotherapy patients and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

Lead and monitor the performance and standards of care within the Nursing Team.

Work collaboratively with the other members of cancer services team to facilitate the development of the service
