Fit Test Co-Ordinator

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for recruitment to the new position of Fit Testing Co-ordinator for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination, and support delivery, of the FFP3 respirator fit testing programme in the Trust. This includes maintaining accurate records, providing fit testing advice, and supporting staff to achieve a proper mask fit for protection against airborne hazards. The role will involve working across the all clinical sites of the Trust, in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Control Team, Occupational Health and Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and the clinical Divisions.

Main duties of the job

  • Previous experience in the process of FFP3 fit testing would be beneficial, however it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • The post holder will provide education and advice on fit testing and respiratory protective equipment, supporting ward and department fit testers with delivery of fit testing.
  • You will also be responsible for managing fit testing equipment and consumables, entry of fit testing data onto the Electronic Staff Record, and preparing reports on fit testing compliance to provide assurance of FFP3 resilience in the organisation.
