Job summary
We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and patient-focused individual to join our Fracture Liaison Service as an FLS Coordinator.
This post plays a vital role in supporting the Fracture Liaison Specialist Practitioners in the development, coordination and monitoring of pathways of care for patients aged 50 and over who have sustained a fragility fracture. The overarching aim of the service is to identify patients following a first fracture and implement timely secondary fracture prevention to reduce the risk of future fractures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, communication and organisational skills who is keen to contribute to improving patient outcomes and preventing avoidable harm.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising, coordinating and attending the monthly FLS multidisciplinary meetings.
- Maintaining accurate tracking systems, and proactively contacting patients in line with the fracture prevention pathway and agreed protocols.
- Act as a central point of contact for patients and clinicians, providing clear, accurate information and ensuring a positive experience of the service.
- To work in a structured and consistent manner, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all aspects of the role are delivered correctly and within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction through a professional, accessible and customer-focused approach.
