Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enhanced Clinical Fellow to join our team in Trauma & Orthopaedics and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
In this role, you will work closely with a designated Consultant and clinical team, supporting the management of patients within the department. You will provide day-to-day clinical support to ST1/2 doctors and Foundation Year 1 doctors, while benefiting from regular supervision, guidance, and training from senior Consultant staff.

Main duties of the job
- Provide clinical care to acute patients under the supervision and guidance of senior medical staff, including supporting Consultants during outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
- Contribute to the education and development of the wider clinical team by delivering teaching sessions to nursing staff and undergraduate medical students.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and research activities as directed by the clinical team.
- Undertake duties in occasional emergency or unforeseen situations at the request of the appropriate Consultant, working collaboratively with both senior and junior colleagues to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Work predominantly between08:00 and 17:00, with participation in an on-call rota consisting of long-day and night shifts. Average weekly working hours will remain within the 48-hour limit in accordance with Working Time Regulations.
