Job summary
ST3+ Level Locally Employed Dr in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, working on second, on-call rota.
Previous Experience of working in NHS required. General experience in O&G equivalent to ST3 level, ability to perform caesarean sections, and non-rotational instrumental delivery independently is essential.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in the day to day running of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, including outpatient clinic and ward work.
- Participate in the second on call rota for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. On-call commitments of 1 in 12 weeks.
- Assist in the training of FY2, GPVTS, ST1 & ST2 juniors.
- Provide input into the department's teaching/audit programme.
