Junior Sister / Charge Nurse - G2A Ward, Frimley Park Hospital

Are you an experienced and motivated nurse looking to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join our dedicated team on G2A, a dynamic 12-bedded Acute Stroke Unit with 2 same-day assessment trolleys. Our service also includes G3, a 28-bedded step-down ward, enabling continuity of care for patients throughout their stroke recovery journey.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our specialist stroke service, working closely with the Senior Sister, Matron, and multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding, evidence-based care. You will provide visible leadership on the ward, supporting and developing staff, ensuring high standards of patient safety, and promoting a culture of compassion and clinical excellence.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be expected to demonstrate clinical leadership and drive quality improvement changes in the clinical setting.
  • You will support junior colleagues in their professional development and with appropriate training you will support the senior sister with management of staff sickness, appraisals ,staffing issues, incident and complaint management etc.
  • We can offer you a range of management and leadership development opportunities to support you in this role as well as support from a dedicated clinical practice educator who provides support to all our staff and can focus on any specific training requirements you may have.
