Main duties of the job
-
Provide expert clinical assessment, management, and support for patients with lung cancer throughout their care pathway.

Coordinate patient care and act as a key point of contact for patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Deliver holistic, patient-centered care including symptom management, psychological support, and education.

Facilitate timely access to diagnostics, treatment, and supportive services.

Support patients and families in understanding their diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.

Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.

Lead and contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.

Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients about lung cancer care and best practice.

Participate in clinical research and support recruitment where applicable.

Advocate for patients' needs and ensure equitable access to care and support services.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with professional standards.
