Job summary
The Histology Department of Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services, based at Frimley Park Hospital, is seeking a motivated, well-organised, and methodical individual to join our dedicated administration team. This role will provide essential secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department and delivery of a high-quality service.
You will play a key part in supporting the team to meet national histology turnaround times, using your strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities effectively. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive, and confident in using their initiative to maintain efficiency within a busy and fast-paced environment.
Main duties of the job
Your main duties will involve audio typing of histology reports, dealing with a variety of administration tasks, and assisting the Consultant Histopathologists.
Experience of Medical terminology, especially pathological terminology, will be an advantage but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
