We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist wanting to develop further rehabilitation skills.
We offer 9 monthly exciting rotations through ED, Medical, Stroke, ESD and Farnham Community Rehab Hospital. We offer excellent opportunities for training and development.
Main duties of the job
- To complete 9 monthly rotations through Stroke Unit/Neuro, Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD), Farnham Community Hospital Rehab wards, Emergency Department (ED) and the Medical Wards.
- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service in assessing and treating patients who may have an acute, complex presentation.
- To work alongside and communicate with Primary care providers and community services to ensure a safe rapid assessment and discharge of patients in an acute, fast paced environment.
- To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists / technicians / assistants and students and be involved in teaching MDT staff.
- To participate in CPD and other departmental activities.

- To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients including those with complex presentation using investigative and analytical skills. To seek guidance from senior staff as required.
- To assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- To maintain a high standard of clinical care using evidence based practices and evaluate the outcomes.
- To devise an individualised physiotherapy management and/or treatment plan, using clinical reasoning skills to utilise a range of treatment options in formulating a specialised programme of care.
- To assess and manage clinical risk within own patient caseload.
