You will uphold high standards of laboratory practice, ensuring strict adherence to quality control procedures to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic results that support patient care.

Your role involves performing both routine and urgent tests, troubleshooting equipment or result discrepancies, and communicating effectively with clinical teams as necessary. Active participation in internal and external quality assurance programmes is a vital part of the position. You will also contribute to the implementation of new technologies and workflows as the laboratory undergoes upgrades and analyser replacements.

This post requires flexibility to work a full rota including nights (some consecutive), weekends, and bank holidays to maintain a 24/7 diagnostic service. Commitment to working efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment is essential to meet the demands of this critical healthcare service.
