Job summary

We are inviting applications for a motivated and forward-thinking Physiotherapist to join our Acute Medicine team. This role primarily works with patients during their initial 48-hour hospital stay, encompassing ED, Acute Assessment Unit, and Medical Short Stay Unit.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to enhance their clinical and managerial skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. As a senior member of the team, you will be involved in the supervision, education, and appraisal of physiotherapists, support staff, and students. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in relevant service development initiatives.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service by assessing and treating patients with complex presentations.
  • Supervise and mentor newly qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants, and students while contributing to the education of multidisciplinary team (MDT) staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and actively participate in departmental activities.
  • Take part in the weekend and on-call service as required.
  • Weekend working commitments will be determined based on service demands and rotational requirements
