Qualifications

Essential

Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or similar appropriate professional institute or relevant experience.
Evidence of Continued Professional Development having undertaken relevant training courses

Desirable

Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Experience

Essential

Knowledge in category management with experience relevant to the areas outlined in the job description.
A working understanding of the technical requirements of public sector procurement
Evidence of ability to plan, develop and implement initiatives with minimal supervision

Desirable

Experience of working with the NHS Terms and Conditions of Supply
Experience of working with senior staff and stakeholders
Evidence of achievements in terms of savings / service improvements

Skills

Essential

Able to determine the appropriate method to present new and/or complex information
Developed knowledge of Microsoft products

Desirable

Working knowledge of Bravo, Atamis or Eproc
Working knowledge of spend analysis tools
