Main duties of the job

As a key leader within the team, you will:

  • Manage and mentor a small team of three recruitment professionals, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service is delivered.
  • Lead the recruitment process for Doctors and Consultants, from job design and advertising to onboarding.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, providing expert guidance to managers and staff across the organisation on recruitment strategies and best practices.
  • Oversee key recruitment activities, including VISA applications and AAC interview panels for Consultant roles.
  • Build close partnerships with hiring managers to predict and address recruitment needs proactively.
  • Deliver training and guidance on recruitment processes and systems, empowering managers to attract top talent.

  • Educated to CIPD Level 5 or HR/Business degree level, or equivalent academic standard / experience
  • Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP / CPP) or equivalent level of experience

Experience

  • Experience of recruitment processes and procedures, including assessment centres
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience of delivering training

Desirable

  • Experience of using the NHS Jobs/TRAC systems

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines and targets
  • Ability to manage a varied, unpredictable and demanding workload
  • Ability to extract, interpret and analyse information and produce reports
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable

  • Understanding of UK immigration law and work permit regulations
  • Knowledge of NHS Employment Check Standards
