Job description

Job responsibilities

This post offers the successful applicant a unique and exciting opportunity to continue to build and develop the neurology department at Frimley Park into a modern service for the benefit of the local populations.

Frimley Park Foundation Trust has state-of-the-art imaging facilities with a spiral CT scanner and an MRI scanner. There are three radiologists with expertise in neuroimaging. Neurophysiology is delivered on-site across the Trust by Bespoke Healthcare for both inpatients and outpatients. This includes EEG, ambulatory EEG, nerve conduction studies, EMG, and evoked potentials.

The neurology service has developed in the last 2 years to have multidisciplinary team meetings with the integrated care service (ICS), neuroradiology meetings, and a medical day unit for provision of intravenous treatments including immunoglobulins and multiple sclerosis infusion therapies. New subspecialty clinics have been set up for: epilepsy, epilepsy transition, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, multiple sclerosis/urology, and Parkinsons disease.

The team is working towards being more involved in clinical research and the Trust would be flexible in trying to integrate any potential developments.
