Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated, innovative and highly organised individual to join our growing and experienced team as our Dietetic Assistant Practitioner (22.5 hours per week). The post holder will be based at Wexham Park Hospital within the Nutrition and Dietetics department.
This post will work closely with the Dietitians to support the team and complete inpatient assessments.
You will join the existing team, working with ward staff to ensure high quality nutrition care is delivered by arranging and delivering educational group sessions e.g. MUST training.
This role will also support the ordering and stock processes of nutritional products as required.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and an ability to manage their own workload.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a crucial role in providing Nutrition and Dietetic Support to individuals.
This role will include working within a multi-disciplinary team. The role supports the education of both staff and patients and ongoing monitoring to promote nutrition within this population group.
You will develop a good understanding of therapeutic diets and catering systems. You must have good communication skills and the ability to problem solve and use initiative to deal with varied queries. Good basic office and computer skills are required for this post as well as being able to work as a flexible and supportive team member.
