Diabetes Specialist Nurse
A full time, permanent position has arisen for an experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to lead the inpatient team at Wexham Park Hospital.Within the hospital setting you will be responsible for in patients with diabetes, and coordinating the treatment plans for patients diagnosed with Diabetes.
Main duties of the job
To lead and manage the Diabetes inpatient service, with the support of the Diabetes Nurse Consultant. ThePost holder will take an operational and strategic lead for the trust delivery of a specialist diabetes inpatient nursing service for adults with diabetes, supporting the Diabetes Nurse Consultant, Cross site Lead. Providing effective leadership skills, managerial and professional support to the diabetes specialist nurses. They should have a minimum of 5 years experience working in a senior leadership position within diabetes and have or be working towards MSc/PHD within subject area. They should be able to provide evidence of on-going professional development and be able to demonstrate that they are abreast of any current developments within diabetes.

- ENB998 teaching and assessing course or equivalent mentorship preparation course e.g. C & G 730
- A recognised diabetes course e.g. ENB 928
- Nurse prescribing course V300 or equivalent
- Has or is working towards MSc/PHD within subject area

- Recognised course within psychological
- Recognised research qualification
