Senior Physiotherapist (Community Inpatient Rehab)

Job summary

If you have a passion for providing quality rehab to patients to help them achieve their potential, then this is the job for you.

Based at Farnham Hospital you will be working as part of the MDT to provide community inpatient rehab to a specified number of patients with the support of your other OT, PT and TA/TT colleagues. You will receive direct line management from your B7 Physio Team Lead and attend our IST programme and group supervision sessions. In addition to this we provide the opportunity for you to undertake specialist CPD including condition-specific training and/or relevant masters modules.

You will work closely with the nursing and medical staff on the ward, attending board rounds, delegating treatment to non-registered staff, line management of junior therapy staff and leading on identified team projects and/or audits.

Main duties of the job

Autonomous assessment and treatment of patients, delegation to junior therapy staff, education to peers and colleagues and demonstration to relatives. Supervision and line management of junior therapy staff and students, service development, IST and active participant in own professional development clinical and personal supervision.

To undertake professional assessment of patients' needs and abilities, to work with them to maximise their potential to reach their goals. To provide timely intervention, to maximise independence and to support discharge planning. To work holistically with patients and the wider ward MDT to ensure patients' needs are met.
