Job summary

Frimley Health Foundation Trust has an exciting vacancy for a 0.8 WTE Senior Dietitian specialising in diabetes and cardiovascular rehabilitation.

This exciting role will be responsible for delivering DESMOND Type 2 diabetes structured education (training can be provided) and working within the cardiac rehabilitation MDT running specialist clinics and patient education sessions, alongside running gestational diabetes clinics/patient webinars and general outpatient clinics.

This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and experience within diabetes and cardiovascular disease dietetics. You will need to be a confident, autonomous practitioner working in the outpatient/education setting however you will have plenty of support from the main dietetic department based in Frimley Park Hospital. This job will require some travel between sites and occasional evening working.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a professional dietetic service in a variety of outpatient settings
  • To act as a dietetic resource for the speciality and associated clinical groups
  • To provide assessment, treatment and management of patients within a speciality, whom may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and maintain associated records
  • To provide complex outpatient clinics as required
  • To contribute to the service development, efficiency and safety in the dietetic department
  • To contribute to policy and policy changes
  • To undertake evidence-based projects and to develop audit and research in this area
  • To support supervision of student dietitians and junior colleagues
