Job summary

  • To provide access to health and wellbeing interventions to all staff (circa 10k) across Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust
  • To work with ICS colleagues to ensure the delivery of enhanced health and wellbeing interventions in an integrated approach

Main duties of the job

  • To work as part of the team, designing and delivering health and wellbeing programs for staff at all levels, including various specialist projects focused on the health and wellbeing of targeted groups
  • To ensure the delivery of health and wellbeing policies and strategies to realise the Trust aspiration to be an employer of choice
  • To be a representative for Health and Wellbeing at meetings and events
  • To manage projects and work streams delivering outcomes to agreed timescales and budgets
  • To be a specialist advisor for programmes in the Trust health and wellbeing provision
  • To design and deliver facilitated training at FHFT
  • To manage and co-ordinate the provision of programme data to inform decision making

Job responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Trust People Strategy as part of the Learning and OD Team participating in the annual training cycle to identify training needs

  • To set up, administer, deliver and evaluate H&WB interventions for staff, including the promotion of national campaigns, H&WB challenges, promotions with partner organisations and general awareness raising of staff H&WB activity

  • Recruit staff onto health and wellbeing programmes making judgements and decisions based on their individual needs.

  • Assess and maintain participant progress and feed back to participants as appropriate.

  • Provide support, advice and guidance to managers Trust wide in respect of health and wellbeing. This will involve providing specialist and expert advice where no precedent exists, which involves high concentration to undertake analysis, interpretation and resolution of complex concepts and problems, requiring evaluation of options/factors in order to achieve organisational objectives

  • To communicate with people, often in respect of complex and sensitive matters, in a form and manner that:

  • is consistent with their level of understanding, culture, background and preferred ways of communicating

  • is appropriate to the purpose of the communication and the context in which it is taking place

  • encourages the effective participation of all involved recognises and reflects on barriers to effective communication and modifies communication in response

  • keeps accurate and complete records of activities and communications consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.

  • is consistent with relevant legislation, policies and procedure.

  • Following relevant training/assessment of competency, work with individuals and groups of staff in supporting behaviour change initiatives towards achieving positive health outcomes.

  • Deal with complaints from participants attending programmes provided internally or commissioned by the Trust, carrying out a preliminary investigation.

  • Contribute to the development of health and wellbeing policies and services to ensure the Trust has effective systems, processes and governance arrangements for health and wellbeing.
