Job summary
We are looking to recruit a staff nurse for the Farnborough and Fleet community nursing teams.
Community nursing involves delivering nursing care to patients in their own homes, this could be administering medication, changing a dressing or changing a catheter.
This post is open to newly qualified and registered RN's who are looking for a change, or who is newly qualified.
For newly qualified nurses we offer the preceptorship course.
You will given full support with a comprehensive induction for the role, with the support of our community practice development nurse with opportunities for further CPD, inhouse and university modules.
This role required a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle. Mileage expenses are claimable via the trust expenses system.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Community Staff Nurse is to provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of theDistrict Nurse/Community Sister/charge nurse.The post holder is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation, and valuationof evidence-based programmes of care, working in collaboration with the Team leader andcommunity sister/charge nurse as part of the community nursing team.They will undertake nursing duties which involve the delivery of nursing services and holisticassessments of patient's health using a person-centred approach.They will be proactive in the reduction of unnecessary hospital admissions for their patients by co-ordinating their care and participating in inter-professional working.The post holder will be a participative member of the community nursing team.
