Job summary

We have a great opportunity to join the Frimley Health Digital Services department. To to help with the designing, developing, implementing and adopting of Digital Solutions across the Trust.

You will be working with our technical teams, key suppliers, specialist IT/Digital partners, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. To support, implement and develop existing solutions within the Trust. And to also design fit-for-purpose solutions which align to our digital strategy moving forward.

Based at our Greenwood Offices site in Ascot,you will be working with our technical teams, key suppliers, specialist IT/Digital partners, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. To design fit-for-purpose solutions for the benefits of the Trust and patients we service.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for

  • Designing solutions across the Trusts technology and service portfolio which includes planning, implementation, development, and operational guidance to the service teams that will manage it in BAU.
  • Providing design assurance during the build / test phases and ensuring the solution design and implementation meets technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Driving the definition and adoption of best practice and standards across the Trust, service teams and wider operational IT/Digital areas. This will include identifying issues, risk, dependencies and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring the NHS Digital Service developments align and adhere to local Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (FHFT) policies and act as an active voice in the future development of the strategy for deliverables to local trusts.
  • As Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Infrastructure across FHFT, interpret strategy information from NHS Digital; implementing transition and operational changes, ensuring continuous service improvement methods are embedded within FHFT.
  • Acting as the lead specialist contributing in the delivery of the technical projects including any Support and Security updates or Feature Updates within the Microsoft release cadence.
