Job summary
The Medical Directors Office is searching for a dedicated Medical Revalidation Administrator to work as part of a small team, providing efficient, effective coordination, support and guidance on medical appraisal, revalidation and professional registration issues for doctors within the Trust.The Medical Revalidation Administrator will working closely with the medical revalidation team, medical appraisers and approximately 900 doctors across the Trust, who are connected to the Trust's designated body list.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain robust administrative systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective operation of the medical appraisal and revalidation system across the Trust.
- Ensuring the Trust's designated body list is kept up to date on GMC Connect and addressing any queries that may arise.
- Issue pre appraisal reminders including downloading and attaching the correct supporting information.
- Manage process of Revalidation review by Associate Medical Director and Responsible Officer before submitting a recommendation to the General Medical Council.
- Responsible for the maintenance of online systems in connection with medical appraisal and revalidation.
- Provide a dedicated point of contact for routine and non routine enquiries and supply advice and guidance to medical staff on medical appraisal, revalidation and L2P in a timely and sensitive manner.
- Provide 1:1 welcome meetings with new doctors and support meetings for any doctor that needs help preparing for appraisal and revalidation.
- To be key in encouraging timely completion of appraisals and active engagement in the appraisal process to ensure medical appraisal rates are increased.
