Job summary

Are you looking for an exciting career in Oncology/Haematology?

The Chemotherapy Day Unit has a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated staff nurse.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show enthusiasm for caring for chemotherapy patients in a day unit setting. You will be able to work independently yet be an important part of a busy nurse led team. We provide a high standard of nursing care, treating a diverse group of patients. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to undertake further study within 6 months of a successful appointment and to be adopted by Macmillan.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a member of the nursing team led by senior nurses to provide high quality nursing care to patients within the Haematology Day Unit.
  • To behave in a manner as laid down in the NMC code of professional conduct.

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC Registration
  • Venepuncture and Cannulation Skills

Desirable

  • ENB998 or Mentor Prep Qualification
  • Trained in the Administration of Chemotherapy
  • Experienced in Oncology
