The team are responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of digital tools and that the "One Frimley" is achieved and that wherever possible process is standardised, and the patients journey as seamless as possible as the patient transfers between care settings.
The department should enable the maximisation of Integrated working across the "Integrated Care System".

Main duties of the job
The Clinical Informatics and Digital Delivery Directorate is a department with the objective to ensure the clinical delivery of the Trust's ambitious Digital Strategy. It also works across the organisation including with our partners to support and enable the digital transformation from grass roots as well as from the senior leaders within the Trust.
The department is jointly led by the Trust's clinical leaders for Digital Clinical Transformation Leaders in the CCIO and CNIO who will be completely integrated with the running of the department by giving the strategic vision and leadership.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organisational
- Leading a team to provide leadership to deliver transformation projects across the trust to deliver a highly performing and digital enabled trust.
- Provide clinical leadership for a range Digital Projects within the portfolio as directed by the Chief Nursing Information Officer and Chief Clinical Information Officer.
- Champion the use of technology for the delivery of safe, efficient and effective care.
- Lead on elements of the Digital Literacy Domains from Health Education England on behalf of the Trust.
- Provide leadership, direction and advice to enable the team to undertaking design, planning, implementing and monitoring of Digital and Transformational Change across a defined area.
- Provide and manage timescales with the teams and stakeholders to the delivery of the projects.
- Delegate for the Chief Nursing Information Officer when directed for specific purposes and report back and where appropriate take on tasks.
- Ensure alignment of the projects with the trusts values and strategic objectives; and challenge when they are not in alignment.
- Work with the senior team within the Clinical Informatics and Transformation Department to manage the portfolio and ensure resources are re-allocated as appropriate to other areas to deliver on timescales.
2. Clinical
- Provide clinical leadership within an allocated clinical setting or area.
- Provide clinical expertise as to the impact of the technology to registered and unregistered healthcare professionals.
- Utilising clinical empirical knowledge to guide the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of digital technology.
- Lead on Clinical Safety Workshops and produce clinical safety case reports for the Clinical Safety Officer Sign-off.
- Clinically appraise the risk and patient safety impact of current trust systems and provide recommendation of actions.
- There is an expectation to maintain clinical accountability and credibility that the post holder will undertake 10% of the role supporting direct clinical care; this will be negotiated with the line manager.
3. Service Improvement, Transformation and Innovation
- Plan and Deliver Process re-design workshops with a range of stakeholders to enable them to agree on a consensus approach.
- Ensure the projects are planned and delivered through the utilisation of the trusts Clinical Transformation Methodology
- Ensure that high quality documentation is produced for the projects including the documentation of Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions.
- Lead on and work with stakeholders in the development of engagement, training and optimisation plans.
- Utilise a range of project and transformation tools in day-to-day working (including PDSA, As-is and To-be).
- Challenge current ways of working with stakeholders to support the triple aim of healthcare.
- Liaise with the Chief Nursing Information Officer to ensure that any proposed service redesign will be effective in improving clinical practice and patient outcomes while adhering to professional standards of the professional bodies.
- Wherever possible ensure that the model is a co-curation is adopted and embed into the projects and programmes.
- Champion the use of national standards such as the Professional Records Standards Board, NHSx Interoperability Standards.
4. Information, Quality and Safety
- Implement Quality monitoring systems to evidence the work that is being undertaken.
- Champion by ensuring there is extensive use of Public and Patient Involvement in the implementation of projects.
- Analyse and produce reports as required to demonstrate the impact of digital technology or pathway redesign.
- Support the trusts obligations with regards to clinical safety for IT systems.
- Analyse the information needs of stakeholders to inform the information model design.
- Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of the integration of systems to the clinical process
5. Communication and Engagement
- Represent the Chief Nursing Information Officer at Meetings as delegated.
- Facilitate discussion and user groups with a range of stakeholders.
- Engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders using a range of communication medias including face-to-face, video conferencing, telephone, email and social media.
- Produce written, verbal and multimedia reports at the request of the chief nursing information officer.
- Actively utilise social media in day to day practice.
- Lead and Develop a variety of training materials both in the physical and virtual form including forms of e-learning
- Develop and undertake teaching, coaching and mentoring sessions on Digital Technology.
- Act as an expert and Specialist within your field of practice to inform own and others decision making
6. Governance
- Work autonomously and without direct supervision on a day-to-day basis.
- Leading on the development and updating of policies linked to the areas of work that the post holder will be undertaking.

- Undertake and Lead on audits as required regarding the implementation, maintenance and management of digital systems and digital ways of working.
