Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly Pre-Op Assessment Department.

Our Working hours are 08.00-18.00 Monday - Friday.

The Pre-Operative Department is a key element in providing a high-quality service to patients and in achieving agreed standards within the trust. We are looking for a motivated and resilient healthcare assistant, with a "can do" attitude, to join our team.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for assisting qualified staff by taking bloods, MRSA swabs and performing ECGs. Urine testing, reception duties. There is also a requirement for some administrative duties. Preparing notes for clinics. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care. A friendly and patient-centred approach is vital for this role. It is also important that the applicant has a calming demeanour as most patients are quite anxious, nervous coming into hospital pre surgery.
