Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity to use and gain building services experience in helping to provide an improved environment for the delivery of clinical care.

Our focus is on improving the Trust facilities and environment. You will be part of a team that provide an effective and efficient service to the building services ,equipment and the buildings.

You will need to have experience of working in an building maintenance environment .You will have good customer care skills, and be able to work on your own initiative. A flexible approach is required, as often you may be required to work at weekend and evenings.

Main duties of the job

Carry out reactive maintenance and checks of equipment, plantrooms and building fabric.

Assist building technicians with responsibilities where required.

Monitor, clean and maintain general housekeeping and safe working environment of working areas.

Job responsibilities

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. General reactive maintenance of all building systems
  2. Maintenance checks of plantrooms
  3. Assisting technicians with duties as required
  4. General housekeeping of working areas, plantrooms, workshops, stores.
  5. Monitor the safe working environment of plantrooms
  6. Maintain radio communication with team leaders and maintenance team
  7. Monitor emergency bleep system when required
  8. Complete job dockets in timely manner
  9. Assist team with KPI targets, number of jobs per day
  10. Promote health and safety for yourself and others
  11. 11.Willing to attend residential and non-residential training courses thus staying aware of statutory regulations and guidance, attend college to attain an apprenticeship level 3 in building maintenance
  12. Flexible working hours
  13. Promote, follow and utilise the trust values
  14. Participate in the trust appraisal system
  15. To ensure an effective and responsible approach to customer care
