Job summary
We have a part time vacancy for a Biomedical Scientist Band 6 in Biochemistry with a desire to work as part of one of the largest NHS-led Pathology Services in the South of England. We are specifically looking for an experienced candidate to supportour 24/7 shift system.
Applicants MUST have HCPC registration and relevant NHS laboratory experience.

Main duties of the job
DIMENSIONS OF JOB:
They will liaise closely with the line manager in providing a high quality technical service that builds on the standards defined by the UKAS and ISO 15189:2012. They will be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all grades of staff both technical and medical to ensure the effective delivery of the technical service.
You will work in rotation within all sections of Biochemistry laboratory, Blood Sciences. The laboratory is well equipped with Cobas 8000 analysers, Sebia analysers, Kryptor Compact Plus, Uvikon XL Spectrophotometer and OsmoPro Multi-Sample Micro-Osmometer.
We are in the transition to implement Abbott's Alinity analysers with GLP track system and TOSOH G11 analysers.
