Job summary

The post holder will serve as a vital point of contact for the Health Team within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), ensuring that colleagues with and external to SCFT, external partners, clients, and members of the public receive a professional, courteous, and supportive response to a wide range of queries and requests. Acting as a central liaison, the role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.

Main duties of the job

A key responsibility will be to organise and facilitate the flow of health-related information into and out of the MASH, maintaining secure and up-to-date records.

The role involves supporting the wider team by proactively managing workloads, developing processes, and driving performance.

Duties include gathering and sourcing information under tight deadlines, collating and presenting data for reporting purposes, supporting recruitment processes, stationary ordering, managing team inboxes, and preparing agendas, minutes, and action logs. The post holder will also follow up on agreed actions to ensure continuity and accountability.

Collaboration with external agencies is essential to fulfil statutory requirements under the Working Together (2023) legislation, ensuring the Trust and broader health system meet safeguarding obligations.

The post holder will work closely with other MASH administrators across Sussex, providing cover and support as required. They will participate in formal supervision and line management processes, contributing to the effective delivery of safeguarding functions across the region.

The post holder will be working in a team that deals with sensitive and sometimes distressing information, it is recognised that this may be emotionally challenging.
