Job summary

Caravelle Ward including Stroke Rehab is a 28 bedded rehab unit with 10 stroke beds and 18 general rehab beds. We provide a tailored rehabilitation programme to meet the individual patient needs and help them regain maximum function through realistic goal setting.

Main duties of the job

We are a team of RN, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Health care Assistants, Physiotherapist, Occupational therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Rehabilitation Support Workers, Social Services team and a Ward Doctor who aim to maximize our patients potential to enable them to return home. We have a visiting Stroke and a Geriatric Consultant both from an acute hospital who see to and review stroke and medical patients respectively once a week. When that is not possible, we work closely with our Social care colleagues to plan the best outcome.

We are looking for a Health care Assistant who enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive team. A health care assistant who applies the importance of prioritization and supports the team assertively. It is hard work but very rewarding-planning the patient pathway, enabling them to progress and supporting them through setbacks is what we do best.

Here at SCFT, we are proud of the care we offer to all our patients. Out Trust inpatient units' care was rated Outstanding in our recent CQC inspection.

As this is a 24 hours service, internal rotation will be operating.

If you would like to pay us a visit to see what we do and how we do, please call our Ward Manager Cherrie Lynn Leeping Pineda on 01273 696011 ext 6053.
