COPD Specialist Nurse - 22.5 hours per week - fixed term
An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) team based in Worthing.
This post may suit a nurse with previous respiratory experience or an experienced clinician with advanced skills that are transferrable to this position.
We would also consider applicants that are band 5 for this fixed term position who have experience in respiratory nursing and wish to expand their knowledge and skills.
Main duties of the job
This specialist role will require experience in working with patients with COPD/respiratory conditions. Knowledge of long-term oxygen therapy and pulmonary rehabilitation would be desirable, or a willingness to learn. Educating patients, healthcare professionals and local groups is another essential part of our work, as well as engaging with other services to deliver the best possible care.
The post holder will need to demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality evidence-based care, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be able to prioritise and organise their own case load.
