Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Children's Physiotherapy (PT) team at Crawley Child Development Centre (CDC) as a Band 4 Paediatric Physiotherapist Assistant Practitioner. This is a part time permanent position working alongside our PT Teams in the CDC and at schools supporting individuals and groups of people to achieve their PT goals.
You will support the registered clinicians in reviewing the goals of the children and young people (CYP) who use the service, working with the parents/carers and school to ensure the best possible level of care is being provided to the child.
You will develop your skills as part of the Physiotherapy team to provide Physiotherapy interventions and treatments, overseen by a qualified and experienced Physiotherapist. The role of the PT assistant is to implement the treatment plan outlined by the qualified Physiotherapist. You will also work alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists and Doctors.

Main duties of the job
You will assist registered Physiotherapists in their day-to-day duties, support children and young people with a range of difficulties, under the supervision of registered clinicians. The post requires travel within Crawley/ Horsham area, and occasionally within the wider geographical areas within the trust (e.g. for training days). You will work with children and young people in education settings (including Special Schools), in clinics based at the CDC, and occasionally in people's homes.
You will deliver support following guidance and care plans devised by the registered clinicians
