An exciting opportunity to work alongside a range of highly motivated healthcare professionals in the provision of healthcare services to children within the Chichester Child Development Centre.
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive and effective secretarial and administrative service to Therapy staff within the Child Development Centre in order to facilitate good healthcare to patients.
This will involve liaising with a range of clinical services and other departments, both internal and external, observing strict confidentiality and maintaining accurate records.
This opportunity is for a 4-day administration role based at the Westhampnett Centre, Chichester.

Main duties of the job
a) To undertake general administrative duties as required, to enable the efficient running of the Child Development Centre participating fully as a team member. This may include undertaking any other duties at the request of the Line Manager, which are commensurate with the role. To raise concerns where necessary which may affect efficient provision of the service
b) To provide administrative support to the Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy Team's which will include typing correspondence, taking telephone calls, booking appointments, and sending letters out to patients/parents.
c) To work with administration colleagues in the Child Development Centre to provide necessary cover for annual leave and sick leave commensurate with the role
e) Use and maintain resources efficiently and effectively, reporting damaged and faulty equipment when identified
g) To process speciality equipment orders for Therapy clinics and workshops as and when required.
i) To undertake Child Development Centre local induction for new Medical and Clinical Administration staff
j) Prioritise own workload, ensuring urgent correspondence are typed first according to urgency and departmental guidelines
k) The work involves close contact with children with special needs and difficulties and their families; to treat everyone you encounter with dignity and respect. Recognising that people are different - avoids discrimination
